A garden club meeting on Friday the 13th? Nothin' better!Posted Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at 7:02 AM
Friday the 13th is unavoidable, so why not join a friendly group of folks to talk gardnin'? Many of us have shared our opinion that occasionally we are not motivated to come to the meeting, but we do and we ALWAYS come away re-energized and glad that we made the extra effort.
New in town? Want to start meeting more people? Our folks are well connected ;-). Maybe not with money, but we sure have plenty of garden connections and enough friendship to go all the way around. Come join us! Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.

Where is the meeting and what time? Do we need to bring anything?
Oops! I put it in the newspaper and put it on our web page http://www.mybedfordcounty.com/Weedemand... but forgot to put it here.
We come in between 6:00 - 6:30 (p.m. of course) Some of us will bring snacks but we don't like our new people to worry about that. We usually have more than enough and the Celebration Way Assisted Living folks are nice enough to make us coffee and even prepare treats some times.
Celebration Way is at 895 Union Street Shelbyville, TN 37160
(931) 536-1577
When you come in the front just walk straight to the back room. It has no doors and you can see all the way in from the front.
No dress code, no officers, no dues, just come as you are.
I'm going to see the "Music Man" play on Friday, so I won't be able to come. Next time!!
I can sing and dance too, well, sort of, but I understand. We'll think about you and hold you to the "next time"!
We had few new, few old, and a few VERY young. In fact the below one year is starting to be our fastest growing group. I'll post a picture of them chatting about their gardens in a few days.
We set a calendar for the next year, so we won't be in doubt anymore. I will get it posted on our web page soon.
