12 week old kittens ready for new homes.Posted Friday, September 17, 2010, at 8:51 AM
BJ, proud pappa, Simon and two of the Mousekateers on the move.
One orange tabby does not seem to ready to leave Momma so we are resigned to keeping this one if necessary, but without counting the five of them, we now have 8 other cats and four dogs. We need to share them. Who knows when the next batch will be abandoned on our road? They were born on June 16th, so they are now 12 weeks old. There seems to be differing opinions on what is the healthiest age to separate them from their mother, but all seem to agree that 12 weeks is sufficient time for them to develop their immune systems and independence. They have been inside a garage all their life and therefore know the purpose of a litter box. Trust me, they use it a LOT! Two of them like to watch me clean it each day and also like to be the first ones back in it. It has almost become a ritual. They have all been handled and played with, so they are socialized to humans. They all eat dry and canned cat food but the one still prefers Momma's milk so he does not get too excited when we bring milk each morning. There are three orange, one black and one cream/Siamese looking with blue eyes. (looks like his father). Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.

They're all beautiful, but that little Siamese is almost worth the divorce he would cause if I took him home ...
Simon (play on Siamese) seems to be the most dominant and personable as well. Each time we go to the garage, he is usually the first to greet us.
We figured he would be the first to be spoken for but want him to have a playmate as well, so we ask that whoever adopts him open their home to one of the others as well.
My email isn't going through to you but could you tell me if Simon is still aviliable? I would love to have him....
So far no one has been willing to take two home. There was someone who asked in front of you. If we decide to let one go at a time, I will have to offer him to them first. I will put a direct e-mail link. See if this works Steve@bedfordtradingpost.com

I believe that Mother Mayhem and I could share the Siamese after we both become divorced...lol
Simon and BJ are about to meet their new family and get their new names. They have all become close to us after 14 plus weeks together, but the new family wanted two of them and that makes it easier for all.
