Start watching your eBay announcements the next week or two.

Posted Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 8:28 PM

Vibes are starting to come out about eBay's next round of changes. I don't have a clear enough picture to gives hints but I bring it up because many of us do not look at announcement very consistently.

Me too, and I hate when something is out there for weeks and I am not aware. I just found out that sellers can not leave buyers any negatives! Just kidding on that tidbit, but things have slipped past me and they shouldn't.

That's it folks! I am going back to my listings.

Glad I said a week or two. All the scuttlebutt was for an announcement this past week. Maybe it was scuttled.

It is getting close enough now that we are starting to hear some details.

Beefed up shipping to include FedX and First Class Mail International. This last one is a nice plus for us. We do enough International business that it will help.

Not sure if this is an eBay effort or better response from the Post Office but the "Delivery Confirmation" feature may be changing to "Tracking Number", which means more scans during the shipment.

USPS employees may also be getting clearer directives to scan each package, which will give the tracker a better idea of when the package got to the Post Office and where it is along the way.

Our local office has been good about that, but I hear of issues with other offices quite frequently. I will talk about that more in the next class.
