  • By the way, the similarity to the song by Sam Cooke, "Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody" was intentional. Knowing those lyrics won Debbi and me a trip to the Bahamas some years ago.

  • Sam Cooke did that? I haven't heard that version...

I won't be able to make it--out of town.

BUT, if you could please ask anyone if they have any giant tomato seeds...I have misplaced mine.

  • You know, gardeners can be like fishermen when they talk about their seeds, but.... I will put te word out.

You haven't heard Sam Cooke's version? Why...I don't know what to say. You young-uns got some listen'in to do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i98_Lqcryp8

  • Steve,

I currently have a lot of winter lettuce seedlings that I don't need. Does anyone have a use for them? I hate to throw them away, but I unexpectantly had way more than I needed, and I'd like to use the seed tray that they are in.

It's a wonderful leaf type lettuce that does well in cooler temperatures. It wilts when the temps are in the 80's, unless it is watered daily.

  • This is open to anyone folks. It does not need to be just garden club members. Money back guarantee!

I will make a new post espoontoon in case the headline does not bring them in. Can't imagine that, but....

  • April 15th is the AVERAGE last frost date, but the weather has sure been screwy. The weather forecasters really need to say they are "practicing" weather forecasting like doctors "practice medicine". No reflection on them. They are doing the best they can but.....

If your plants are really cold sensitive, I think I would wait at least until the 22nd. (but don't quote me on that!)
