Sorry to hear of Parker Sain's passing.Posted Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at 10:29 PM
I can't say Parker and I were buddies, but I can't think of a time I saw him that he did not have a big grin and seemed pleased to see me. For some reason, that was enough to make me feel the same about him.
He called and came over about a year ago to talk about what organic farming meant and listened intently. I have no idea if we were on the same page or if he agreed, but I appreciated his sincere interest to learn.
Debbi and I will miss seeing him around town and passing him almost daily. Our condolences to his family and the rest of us who enjoyed his contagious smile.
