Sorry to hear of Parker Sain's passing.Posted Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at 10:29 PM
I can't say Parker and I were buddies, but I can't think of a time I saw him that he did not have a big grin and seemed pleased to see me. For some reason, that was enough to make me feel the same about him.
He called and came over about a year ago to talk about what organic farming meant and listened intently. I have no idea if we were on the same page or if he agreed, but I appreciated his sincere interest to learn. Debbi and I will miss seeing him around town and passing him almost daily. Our condolences to his family and the rest of us who enjoyed his contagious smile. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
Steve Mills and his wife have one daughter and live on a farm outside of Bell Buckle. They previously owned two coffee/ice cream shops, currently operate an internet sales company and teach classes, but his primary job involves the paper industry worldwide. Hobbies and interests lie in gardening, photography, recorded music and of course, their pets.

I have to agree. He was a staple around Bell Buckle and Bedford county and I will miss seeing his truck around town.
Amen!
I've known Parker since I was about 3 or 4 years old. He was always so much fun. He really liked goofing around with us kids. I wish I had seen him more in the past few years.
I went to school with Parker and his sister Betty. I spent a lot of time with both of them. Parker was the typical big brother. We could always count on him to be around to kid/aggravate Betty and me. It was never done in a mean way and he always kept us in stitches. I talked to Parker about a month ago and he was his usual happy self. Although, there hasn't been much contact with him through the years I will miss him but he gave me many happy childhood memories. God speed Parker. I'm sure you will be sharing that smile with all that you meet in Heaven.
