Hey, tomorrow is Friday and that means Weed'em & Reap!!

Posted Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 10:34 AM

Thought I would mention it folks. If we continue to have as much fun and useful exchange as last meeting, we may just forget about that change to a once per month summer schedule.

7:00 P.M., New Century Chinese Restaurant on Madison Street, in case it has not been burned into the back of your skull yet.

While the heat of summer is not the best time to transplant, if you just have to do it now, this week might be a good one with rain showers forecast for the next few days.

New plants need good watering and could use the overcast sky to settle in before having to face the full heat of our summers.

The showers could also be a good time to plant your next batch of veggies or flowers. Just a thought.

...useful exchange indeed (good information and some plants too)!

Espoontoon's rainbow peppers in the planters at work are doing great. Yesterday, my mother-in-law transferred the squash plant to the big garden. And I can't wait to see the onions "do their thing."

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this evening...will bring a bright red flowering geranium plant to the meeting if someone would like one.

I'm bringing you a replacement Speckled-Spotted-Roma Toamato plant...

Try to say either one fast.

Espoontoon, do you have any Mexican sunflower seeds? My friend/co-worker/Weed 'em & Reap member would like to grow more plants like the one you gave her a couple of years ago.

Great meeting folks and the attendance! You have really encouraged us to continue the bi-monthly meetings.

I will go into more depth later, but I have to get my beauty sleep. Doesn't work much, does it?
