Should you change your e-mail password?Posted Thursday, June 30, 2011, at 6:58 AM
If this came from almost any other source, I would be suspicious. In fact, I was still a little suspicious, but some of you know Kim Komando and her hi-tech advice? It came fom her daily tip.
She put this up this morning as a site to check your e-mail addresses to see if they are on lists released by hackers. These lists are supposed to have the passwords to any account listed. Now my suspicious mind said, "What a wonderful way to get e-mail addresses, so I put in a fake one first to see if it would give me a false positive and then recommend some super-duper software to correct it. Nope, it just told me the address was not on the lists. To see if your e-mail is on the list go to https://shouldichangemypassword.com/ Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
