Speed change on 231N. Anyone care to comment?Posted Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 8:04 AM
I know a few of you have commented both here and in person, so let's hear it!
I was surprised that they made it 50 and not just keep it 55 from Deason on in to town. 5 miles an hour will not make a big difference in safety.
People coming to the hospital could be distracted regardless of the speed limit. They have an emergency of some type so they are in a rush to get there and/or are thinking about their loved one.
Flashing warning lights, and bold signs might do better to warn other drivers to be careful in the area. Kind of like "Deer Crossing" or "Fog zone". Put up flashing signs that say "Hospital Area please watch for distracted drivers"
