Great, GREAT Weed'em & Reap meeting last night!Posted Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 11:03 AM
Besides the fact that we have a record number of guys coming now, we had two new visitors who we hope will become regulars.
Ruby and one of her sons John came all the way from Normandy to share seeds, bring in mystery flowers to identify and talk about what they are doing, and they are doing a LOT! Whew, a person could get tires just think of what they are DOING.
Several of our members have been enjoying the fun of the Middle Tennessee Plant Swap twice a year at Henry Horton State Park and Ruby is a very active participant. If you want to know more come to our meetings (I think we hooked her and John) OR sign into the Facebook page for "Middle Tennessee Plant Swap".
Pretty sure it is the same weekend as the Webb Fair, so some of us will be occupied, but double check to be sure.
espoontoon brought the red hardy hibiscus plant to give away as promise, Barbara brought some jars of pickles and chutney, we had a flower picture book door prize, and cherokee2 showed us a really neat mini-digital camera he picked up at a yard sale earlier in the day.
It goes on a key chain and can hold hundreds of photos. Great for snapping flower and garden pictures almost anywhere. I forgot to check what powers that puppy C2?
