The LAST Weed'em & Reap meeting of this year. 11-11-11Posted Monday, November 7, 2011, at 3:10 PM
It is coming up this Friday, at the New Century Restaurant on Madison Street in Shelbyville. There are some who want to keep it going during the break and there is nothing to stop that but "officially" we will take a break until the last week of January.
That is about as official as we get, so please don't ever think you can't come if you are late, can't come if you do not attend a certain amount of meetings, have to be a gardener of any type, or.....whatever. We would just love to have you come out and visit with us. Craftin-Mom remind me to snip off a seed top off the catnip. I have no idea how viable the seeds will be, but they keep producing from something so.... Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Tonight might finally be the night that zaps my figs and remaining veggies. Just in case, I brought in all the Bok Choy I could find and some of the dill and coriander.
I made another catnip bed in the greenhouse. I might as well call it that since Stacy has been cuddled up in it ever since it was created.
I don't think I had any ripened figs and they don't seem to ripen after picking so .... I guess they are done. As soon as this happens though I am going to move some rootings to new beds I prepared with LOTS of wood chips. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
Finally got a frost, but it just nipped things, not complete damage. Catnip is still standing and same with dill and coriander.
Forgot to check the figs but the leaves look healthy from here.
See everyone tonight??
The boys and I will be there... I'll show off my haul from that website where I got that great deal on seeds. I also promised someone some muscadine seeds, but the 3 packs I had have seemed to disappear. They probably fell behind my dryer. Sorry!
For those who are not on their way, Debbi has added one of her photo albums with vegetables on it as a door prize for the last meeting of the year.
