  • Oh goodness, I hope you didn't do too much damage. Any chance you could have pinched a nerve in your neck or shoulder?

  • There is a GREAT chance I pinched something but I have developed a bad case of allergies to doctors. Besides, I already know it hurts and is numb so I hate to pay someone to confirm that.

If I will stay away from straining the arm, I will see if it goes away. If not, then I will take some allergy medicine and go see a doctor.

Thank you for your concern craftin_mom. If anyone knows a home-remedy for reducing the pain or helping this condition, feel free to write it here. I will probably give it a try.

  • As silly as this sounds, I remember an old wive's tale about slicing a white potato and setting it on the part of the neck or shoulder that may be pinched.

Apply a heat source.. hot water bottle, heat pad, etc.

Have your sweetheart heat up some olive oil infused with lavender (or plain, lavender is just for the scent) and let her massage real good.

This site has a few home remedies, and it even mentions the potato, lol! http://www.ehow.com/about_5120435_home-remedy-pinched-nerve-neck.html

    Feel better soon!

  • I like potatoes so that sounds good. If it does not work, I'll cook'em.

    Heat feels good as well.

It is strange that it does not hurt while I am using it to lift wood, etc. but it is weaker.

I use my left arm more when lifting. Maybe I will become a lefty like one of my brothers.
