Had your truck up a tree lately?Posted Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 6:04 PM
Getting wood today turned into a little bit more of an ordeal. The wet muddy conditions made my truck (4-wheel drive) slide sideways on the hill. In the process it ended up on top of a stump just barely tall enough to remove traction from the tires.
I could see me telling Deb that the truck was "up a tree". Sounds like that auto insurance ad on TV about a guy who seems to go up a pole frequently.
Anyway, my 4-wheel drive tractor was able to pull it off by the trailer hitch. Everything was so slippery, it really did not take much. From there I loaded the truck down with wood and there was enough traction to get out of there.
Guess I will use wood closer to the house until it dries out.
