4 types Chinese Cabbage Weeks worth at a time
These mild days have to be firing-up the blood of any gardener, so if you feel something strange, you might be one of us. Of course, check with a doctor if it REALLY feels strange.
My Chinese cabbage planted just a few days ago are up and growing. Michili was the winner by showing two days after planting. For some reason Michili does not sound Chinese so someone should correct me if it is not, but all my resources keep referring to it with other Chinese cabbage, so...
I only have eight Jiffy pots because I am planting a week's worth at a time. The lighter Jiffy pots at the bottom were slightly watered before I decided not to plant that many. Once planted, it is good to keep the peat moss dark (moist) but not soggy.
The peat pots to the far right have not been watered and are about as thick as two poker chips. The blue you see is a platic lid from a sushi tray I used to keep the pots covered until the seedlings popped up. The tray comes with a full cover, but since I had not planted the whole tray, I wanted localized control.
