Anyone used these "juicers" and what were your results?Posted Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 8:25 AM
I have 40 pounds that just have to go away. Actually, if I used the weight charts I pull up on the net, I should add another 20 pounds to that goal but that would bring me back to my wrestling weight in high school and probably a little unreasonable.
I've tried to lose weight in many ways. Even so far as to have a four way by-pass but that only helped me temporarily lose 20 pounds. Well, that may not have been the primary reason for the operation but....
I certainly work around our property with gardens projects, maintenance, honey-dos, cutting firewood, etc. but nothing seems to make a dent. I eat about half of what I used to eat and all I do is maintain my manly belt-line. Not healthy, manly, or that is how I am referring to it. :-)
My current bout with the crud has made food even less important to me so before I build up a keen interest again, I thought I would try adding a juicer to my regimen. Not to replace ALL other food, but to add a substantial amount of raw vegetables and fiber.
I am a firm believer that in our effort to make things "easy", our culture has added a lot more sugar and preservatives to even our healthy foods, so prepackaged convenience does not interest me.
A juicer that includes the pulp just sounds like a strong possibility so I ask if any of you have tried it, liked it, disliked it, or .....?
