The Weed'em & Reap countdown is now at three.Posted Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 3:08 PM
We have three more meetings planned this year and they are often used for planning the upcoming year winding down our garden, preparing for next year or some of us discuss "winter sowing" or even winter gardening.
We will be returning to a presentation format for at least two meetings a month next year, so if you have a burning desire to talk to fertile, "young" minds, get in touch with me. Mine has had too much fertilizer, but....
Speaking of young minds, we would love to have younger attendees who share our interest in gardening. Don't worry about knowing too much or too little. We just want to learn or help others learn so the "come on down"!
Oh yeah, where. The New Century Restaurant on Madison Street in Shelbyville, TN. We come in around 6:00-6:30 to grab a bite to eat and others come in a little later if they have already eaten. There is no requirement to eat!
We would LOVE to have some of our "backsliders" show up as well. You know who I mean. ;-) (that's a wink in emoticon language)
Speaking of what there is and isn't, there is no membership fee, no rules, officers, or dress requirements. (I never felt comfortable in a dress anyway) Just an interest in gardening is requested, but even that is not checked at the door.
You can tell I am in a goofy mood this afternoon. Maybe it is from losing weight or food deprivation. Not sure which.
