Does your cell phone make you laugh?Posted Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at 8:10 AM
I am trying to use my I-phone to replace the scribbled notes I make during the day as reminders for completing at a later date. This morning I made a note for this evening by using Siri a phone persona that is voice activated device on the I-phone.
After confirming the note, Siri came back with "Great, ya'll have a nice day" Then followed up with "I've always wanted to say that". I could not help but say Thanks. and she came back with "A pleasure, as always". Big smile. Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |

It often asks my permission to share my location, so it is possible. Interesting. Invasive but interesting.
Steve, it's very possible that through your GPS navigator in your phone, it knows exactly where you are and adapted the voice avatar accordingly. Just like your phone automatically adjusts to the time zone you are in.
Of course, this is just a huge guess on my part, as I'm not that techno-savy!
Someone else who owns one might tell us if they have heard the same thing? I doubt that it "sensed" where I was and adapted the jargon, but.....?
If she read my blog, it is time to change phones. :-)
I am in hopes one day my robot dog will fetch a soda from the fridge, adjust the thermostat, make the bed and morning joe, take herself out in the yard.- programmed to stay out of the neighbors yard-,fry my burger medium well without the splatter and, feed the cat. And it would be grand if I could slip my feet in somewhere, at the end of the day for a good rubbing...technology is amazing...just can't get this older model dog I have now, to talk back for the share of how my day went....maybe that there new phone-ahicky thingy ya got therr is a good id'e..I might take a liekin' to her!...hmm......maybe I'll just stick with the older model tho cause she loves me back...and I found myself leaving my ole' cell phone in the fridge the other day anyhow. cause It texted me something while I was frying my burger and grabbing a soda...Besides I would end up talking back to it, if-n I had one of them new fangled ones. Like when it got all quiet in the house, I might wanna know if it wanted to go to Wendy's or asking her if she read Steve's blog today? If I wuz to upgrade my cell model I reckon it would have to know some Southern tho...cauz Country Southern shur-enuff is all I know!
How does Siri know to speak Southern??
