  • Steve, you are right about there being no shortage of news. There is however a shortage of decent reliable news. The left wing media industrial complex is really doing itself a disservice. In the unlikely event they come up with some real news that is detrimental to Trump, what good will it do them? It will be lost amongst all the b.s. they've been spewing. They done cried wolf too many times.

  • Now THAT was an excellent summary of the real news, Steve.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

You forgot to sum up what information Russia got from all those emails from Hillary and the DNC, and why the intelligence agencies are looking at Trump when it was Hillary's classified information Russia got.

    Or was it?

The United States Intelligence Community (IC)is a federation of 17 separate United States government agencies that work separately and together to conduct intelligence activities considered necessary for the conduct of foreign relations and national security of the United States.

Of those 17 agencies, only 5 are key players; CIA, NSA, NRO, NGA, DIA, and the FBI, however, the FBI is non-intelligence, but critical law enforcement and counter intelligence agency.

Of all 17 agencies there is no proof that Trump or any of his staff has colluded with Russia (yet). They have been investigating for over one year now. The news media and the democrats want us to believe there is a crime committed by Trump, but without any proof.

Now we have a special council, the last FBI Director, investigating Trump? Why Trump? All these agencies said Russia hacked Hillary's emails, but nothing about Trump's emails, only business calls.

We know Hillary had classified information on her private server that Russia Hacked into before she had it cleaned with bleach wash. Hillary also allowed her lawyers who didn't have a security clearance to read everyone of her emails (according to Hillary's own testimony)so they would know what they should delete and what to keep for the congressional investigation.

The Judical Watch has receive over 900 of Hillary's and the DNC's emails thru the (FOIA) that reveals what Hillary lied about and proof that Obama knew all about her private server and emailed Hillary using it, making Obama an accessory to her crime.

Funny thing is, The U.S. State Dept is one of the 17 Intelligence Agencies and Hillary was the Secretary of the dept under Obama. How convenient!

With this new special council, they will soon find out about Seth Rich, a DNC Staffer, who sent the Hillary and DNC emails to WikiLeak. All of this is now a conspiracy, or so they say. We should hear more about it, because the Intel agencies should look at all the evidence before making a decision. Sounds like cover-up to me, because it makes perfect sense. Think about it, if a DNC Staffer got shot in the back and left for dead and the case is stand down, how many witnesses and people and investigators invloved want to be shot in the back and left for dead?

They claim Russia hacked Hillary's and the DNC's emails, yet there is no evidence of Russia getting any classified information from her server, but they believe Trump is working for Putin? Something sounds fishy here to me.

•NSA - signals intelligence, cryptology, cyber warfare: We were told that Russia has been hacking our computers for years, so what is NSA Doing? Maybe Trump should shut down all those useless agencies that aren't doing their job, yet getting paid to do nothing.

And what is the FBI doing? They have been telling us for over a year that Russia hacked Hillary's email and Trump is colluding with Russia, yet they have no proof of either that can be used to prosecute anyone.

The FBI has the proof, Comey just wouldn't use it because Obama would have put an executive privilege on all the evidence against himself and Hillary Clinton.

So now the new, old FBI Director, will walk in and have all the evidence handed to him on a silver platter.

  • Sui please stop watching Faux news.

-- Posted by lets be real on Fri, May 19, 2017, at 12:18 PM
  • Sweetheart, Faux news doesn't even get the news that I do until 2 or 3 days later.

Fox News is getting carried away and adding too many personal opinions into the news. I have to use my common sense when I watch or read the news.

Fox News makes fun of the News Medias and the News Medias report the opposite of what Fox reports.

Somewhere in the middle is the real news!

Fox and Republicans are too busy trying to instruct Trump on what to say and do. Trump got where he is by being Trump!

Trump is successful and making America successful.

-- Posted by sui on Fri, May 19, 2017, at 5:05 PM
  • Sui you are so right,Trump got where he is by being Trump. He has no one to blame for the mess he is in now but himself.

Sui what whitehouse staffer do you think leaked the whitehouse notes of the Trump/Russia meeting? He told the Russians that he had to fire Comey,he was a nut and he was not under any more pressure about Russia and not under investigation.

-- Posted by lets be real on Fri, May 19, 2017, at 9:55 PM
  • What mess is Trump in lbr? The left have accused Trump of a dozen things, with no proof of anything.

What did Trump tell the China leader when he visited Trump. What about the Turkey Leader? Now he is in Saudi and no telling what Trump will tell them. He has talked to Japans leader and South Korea. You are only concerned with what Trump and Putin talked about. Maybe they just talked about their grand children like Bill Clinton and the AT Lynch.

There was three people in the office and they all said Trump did not tell Russia anything he shouldn't have. If Tump told the Russians that he had to fire Comey, why is that a problem. He told everyone he had to fired Comey and why.

You need to watch the right shows to keep up with Trump and what he says lbr. You are only reporting on what you heard from the fake news medias.

I have no idea who the whitehouse staffer was that leaked the information, but Trump will catch them sooner or later and I wouldn't want to be in his/her shoes.

-- Posted by sui on Sun, May 21, 2017, at 12:57 AM
  • I guess you think he did not bow on national TV either, was that fake news?

And I will bet that he will not make Ivanka give back that $ 100 million given to her charity. When Hillary got 10 million from the Saudis for charity when not even Sec of State he criticized her contantly and said" Hillary must return all money from such countries".

It is not the Russians business that he fired Comey,he was just popping off like a drunk at the end of a bar.

I am concerned with Russia as you should be since he seems to be in love with their style of running their country and his staff stays in contact with Russia. Then they lie and deny it.The Trump dynasty is in a downward spiral.

  • Steve, I just had a vacation that I would have to recommend to you. For 11 days I had no access to the internet, nor TV, nor newspapers. It was great!

Of course, we all have to return to the real world eventually, and there was nothing there that was a surprise. I said before he got the nomination that Trump was unfit to serve as president, and he confirms that every day. It is amazing that anyone other than SUI could be so unaware of the way that a free country operates. Although he clearly believes that he is the dictator of some 3rd world kingdom, his personal interests are not the country's interests, and the only requirement to serve the country is not a personal loyalty to him. If he were not so inept he would be a dangerous man to have in office.

  • Lazarus, nothing changing much reminds me of Soap Operas. We console my Mother-in-law when she misses her favorite opera that she will be able to catch up quickly.

-- Posted by stevemills on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 6:12 AM
  • Like Trump said,"there is nothing he could do that would cause him to lose support of his followers, not even killing someone in Times Square in broad daylight".He is a dangerous man,and he would throw his own family under the bus to cover his own a**.He is loyal to no one ,but he made his staff sign an oath of loyalty to him. This man is not mentally capable of being president andhe has the nuclear codes. His staff has had an intervention with him about his tweets, but he can not help himself.God help America.

-- Posted by lets be real on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 10:27 AM
  • I don't know that I would say "nothing changed." Trump gave his "I am not a crook" speech. It is increasingly obvious that he really is in collusion with the Russians. He admitted to giving them classified information. Even if the information he gave them was harmless in and of itself, there is no question it would give the Russians valuable insights into what we know, and how we know it. A competent President might instruct the intelligence agencies to share information cogent to protecting civilian airlines. Only a fool or a stooge would recklessly do so on their own.

-- Posted by lazarus on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 10:40 AM
  • lets be real, How do you determine these things about Trump?

    "loyal to no one"

"His staff has had an intervention with him

That would seem to require very personal contact with Mr. Trump or his staff.

I tried to find facts regarding that and only saw unsubstantiated "reports" who referred to "others" or vague "reports". For me that does not meet any burden of proof, so I am hoping you have a more direct and verifiable source.

If nothing else, this last campaign season has taught most of us, it is to question unsubstantiated, faux news so I am trying to always track it back to a source. Any help would be appreciated.

-- Posted by stevemills on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 10:52 AM
  • Lazarus, why do you say the President should instruct the agencies to share it and not share it directly?

Do you think past presidents have not shared information of similar value in the past, or they have not had a mole in their organization to share it?

-- Posted by stevemills on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 11:38 AM
  • Wow. Lbr?, you need to take a chill pill before you have a stroke. And you don't need to spend time and effort asking God to help America; Trump is on the job and helping us just fine.

Steve, the only sources for all of the anti Trump hoopla are unnamed, i.e. made up.

If the people on the left could just get a little bit over their deep personal hurt that their hand picked corrupt lifelong politician/criminal couldn't beat a rookie and just give him half a chance, they would see that he is making America better. Or they would expose their ignorance and/or hatred of America.

-- Posted by fair share on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 3:38 PM
  • Steve; A smart manager lets the professional staff do their job. Unfortunately, Trump, by his own words, believes that he intuitively knows everything. You would, of course, recognize Trump as a fool if he started diagnosing diseases without consulting a physician. Handling intelligence is an equally complex task, as every scrap of information contains multiple levels of information. Not only does it reveal the surface layer, but it also speaks to what level of information we possess, what organizations that we have penetrated, where we have access. Our country shares information with other countries all the time, doubtless not always only with allies. The experts in the intelligence service do the sharing... with due caution.

Consider WWII, when we had penetrated the German Code. We did not act on every piece of information we received; sometimes withholding information from our own allies. A greater purpose was served by the Germans not immediately realizing we knew their plans.

A manager like Trump, with his unfounded self confidence, and indiscrete big mouth is a professional's nightmare. Look at the issues his loose lips have caused for the legal experts trying to put together a Moslem ban. Unfortunately, he has access to information that can do the country a lot more damage than that has.

-- Posted by lazarus on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 3:40 PM
  • Trump has more intelligent information than all the people who are trying to tell him what he should say, how he should act and what he shouldn't do, why he shouldn't do what he does and says. They accuse him of every thing you could dream up to say bad about someone. I can't even spell the words the democrats call him. They want to impeach him before he even gets started good.

Trump has brought more hope and faith to countries around the world than any other president in the shortest amount of time. He has more things in the fire than the democrats can find fault with and that is saying a lot.

I personally think the democrats should all be rounded up and arrested for insurrection against the government and start impeaching all those racist democrats who haven't stopped calling every thing racist since Obama was elected.

I know the last 8 years have been very racist. The democrats have screamed racist every time Obama couldn't do something that was unconstitutional. The Democrats have cried Racists so much that they are using reverse Racist against the whites and the President who isn't racist.

The people are so racist that they want every thing that dates back to the civil war removed from the earth. Soon there will be nothing to remind them of the civil war or Slavery. They won't have any proof left on the earth to remind them of anyone being slaves. When that happens, how can they say any thing is racist, they will only have their memories and I think many of them are too braindead now to have a memory of anything worth remembering.

Trump has more control than you idiots think he has. He not only has his followers but the rest of the world is starting to follow Trump.

Look what he did in Saudi. He is building the largest coalition of Muslim fighting forces to fight for their own lands. The very thing Americans have been crying about wanting Trump to do. Now they only say Trump is stirring up the Middle East. There is no pleasing you dumb idiots.

-- Posted by sui on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 5:46 PM
  • The removal of Civil War history and Southern heritage is rooted in racism. Specifically the democrats attempt to hide their racism and responsibility for slavery and the war. Too many people (including blacks) are starting to see how the dems really feel about and treat blacks and others. If they can get rid of the past, they can make people forget. I wonder if we will stand up to them when they start banning and burning books?

-- Posted by fair share on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 7:04 PM
  • I think it is an oversimplification to call it "racism." But, the destruction, and defacing of monuments across the South, in the effort to erase history is an abomination. It reminds me of the ancient Pharaohs going out and hacking the faces of their predecessors off of statues. It is really hard to fathom what the perpetrators think they are accomplishing with these acts of vandalism.

-- Posted by lazarus on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 9:52 PM
  • Sui it seems your theory on Seth Rich death has been debunked even by the police. So far signs point to robbery.Seems like no one else believes this except you and Sean Hannity.Even Fox staffers are embarassed by his promotion of this conspiracy theory and wants it to stop before they lose what little credibility they have left.

Did everyone see Melania smack Trump's hand away today coming from the plane in Israel today? She dislikes the guy as much as majority of America does.I am sure his followers will say we didn't see what we really saw.

The Civil War and Southern Heritage is rooted in racism.

"If they can get rid of the past they can make people forget"

We do not need to honor slaveholders, rapist, murderers and land stealers no matter what party they belonged to.No person of color should have to look up at a statue of someone who enslaved and raped their ancestors. You don't see statues everywhere of the slaves that were tortured do you? No,because they are in a museum where the ones that tortured them need to be.

-- Posted by lets be real on Mon, May 22, 2017, at 11:52 PM
  • Lbur, you may be right. Poor Seth was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Wonder what he was robbed of, besides his life? Not his wallet, watch, or phone. Just another unfortunate Clinton associate that crossed them then ended up dead under mysterious circumstances.

"We do not need to honor slaveholders, rapist, murderers and land stealers no matter what party they belonged to."

True. We do not need to honor the history of the Democratic party. By the way, lbur, did you know there is effective treatment available for your Stockholm syndrome?

-- Posted by fair share on Tue, May 23, 2017, at 9:49 AM
  • There is also treatment available for republican zombies.

-- Posted by lets be real on Tue, May 23, 2017, at 10:10 AM
  • You can call Seth Rich story a conspiracy all you want to, but it is a cover-up.

Why would everyone interviewed say one thing then deny it when the police were told to stand down and call it a robbery gone wrong when there was no robbery.

Funny that the FBI was not called in to investigate a DNC Staffers death when we have so much talk about collusion with Russia and Hillary's email server hacked. WHY???

I bet I could start a rumor and make all the democrats believe Russia had Seth Rich killed after getting all the information Seth gave to Wikileaks. But I would have to add something Racist to it to make the democrats believe it.

So Melania smacked Trump's hand away. So what! Do you know why? Did she hurt her hand earlier or have something on her hand she didn't want Trump to get on his hand? Were they Human and have a disagreement earlier and she was still upset with him? Did they have a private joke and she was telling him to straighten up? You will have to be more specific to make a big deal out of that.

Sorry lbr, you will never get the blacks and democrats to forget the past. The Civil War and Southern Heritage and the movie "Roots" is rooted in racism.

All the movies we have seen that doesn't have any racism in them hasn't been able to make the racists forget about racism. As long as black groups like black lives matter keep killing white people, there will always be racism against the evil.

That is just like Isis killing the infidels. It is all just plain wrong, ungodly evil and racist.

You said it best lbr with your statement: "No,because they are in a museum where the ones that tortured them need to be." The people who tortured and killed the black slaves are dead and gone just like the blacks that were tortured slaves are all dead and gone.

(Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Ratified December 6, 1865. That was 152 years ago! No Black Slaves since then, except the ones some of the Democrats owned.)

It is a thing of the past. The blacks are not slaves to the people, only to their political government.

    THEN, you said something really stupid! You said;

"There is also treatment available for republican zombies."

I do not watch Zombie movies but from the previews of Zombie movies, I am led to believe they are dead things that look like sick people who go around eating humans. If you can't kill them, why do they have to keep eating? Is it possible, if you stop feeding them human beings, they would die? I think not. The only way you can help a Zombie is to feed them. They don't require anything else that I know of.

Why would anyone want to help a Zombie with any kind of Treatment? Democrat or Republican?

PROOF that you just can't fix STUPID!

  • But sometimes you can duct tape it. Especially when you can't slap the poo out of it.

-- Posted by fair share on Tue, May 23, 2017, at 6:12 PM
  • I hate to agree with SUI, but he is right. The perpetrators and victims of slavery are long, long gone. Black people in America face a lot of obstacles, but old monuments and place names are way down the list.

What really irks me is the blind eye often turned to the true history. Two well known figures from the time made these statements (paraphrased as I do not have time to look them up.) 1) I do not forsee a time when Whites and Blacks will ever live as equals. 2) If we do not promote the development of a professional class among Blacks, we will be supporting them for the next 100 years..... The first is on the $5 bill, and has a huge monument in Washington DC. The second, we are vigorously trying to erase his name from history. You know who these men were. Abraham Lincoln and Nathan B Forrest.

-- Posted by lazarus on Tue, May 23, 2017, at 8:29 PM
  • Everyone knows the perpetrators and victims of slavery are dead. These men were warriors but not patriots, they fought against the U.S.

These statues are not innocent reminders of history. They purposefully celebrated a fictional, sanitized confederacy, ignoring death and enslavement and terror they actually stood for. They were erected purposefuly after the Civil War to send a strong message to all who walked in their shadows. These statues were as much a part of that terrorism as burning a cross on someone's lawn. This is part of a speech given by a New Orleans Mayor that sums up my feelings exactly.

-- Posted by lets be real on Tue, May 23, 2017, at 10:48 PM
  • THE FBI is not investigating Seth Richs death because there is no smoking gun. The police statement stands for itself.

Why is the president getting lawyered up and Flynn ready to take the 5th over "fake news".Flynn can take the 5th but his companies can't.

Former CIA Brennan said there was information between the Trump campaign and worthy of informing the FBI to investigate collusion. And Trump ask 2 chiefs of intelligence agency to tell the media there was no collusion. This did not make the republicans to happy.

Melania refused Trumps hand again today he offered while getting off a plane today. Can you spin this one Sui like the other one?

-- Posted by lets be real on Tue, May 23, 2017, at 11:04 PM
  • Well, you folks made me do it. I sought out the earth shattering clips of Melanie and the hand debacle.

Wow! I am ecstatic that world news is so devoid of news worthy of attention. I can imagine the angst of professional news anchors at having to report news that belongs in the gossip columns.

The one clip I saw/listened to the reporter sounded so bored and so obviously reading the script that it sounded like a Saturday Night Live skit. My apologies to those folks.

Maybe there were better views of the first "incident" but it was so fleeting that I could not be sure what, if anything, really happened. The second was so instantaneous with her wiping hair from her face that I doubt she even knew he had made the gesture.

-- Posted by stevemills on Wed, May 24, 2017, at 6:53 AM
  • Look at the close up in slow motion. Why is she not moving into the whitehouse, school is out.The poor woman looks very depressed and frowns when he is not facing her.Treating her with no respect in public what does he do behind closed doors.I will just bet he is holding something over her head as a threat if she leaves.

-- Posted by lets be real on Wed, May 24, 2017, at 9:39 AM
  • Yep, fake news is alive and well. At least we have lbur to tell us from her personal knowledge what people over 150 years ago had in their hearts and minds. But she is wrong about the confederate soldiers not being patriots and fighting against the US. To paraphrase the first Republican president, we have the right to change our government politically or by force. And in fact, the South was just resisting the North that was changing the federation of states and violating A10. The North carried out an armed coup. That's why it's called the War of Northern Aggression.

-- Posted by fair share on Wed, May 24, 2017, at 10:03 AM
  • Sometimes, LBR, I find you no more rational than SUI. Of course history is sanitized. Everyone's history is sanitized. Is the history of the North any less sanitized than the history of the South, with the fiction that the war was fought to eliminate slavery? Do you think it is somehow superior to demonize the South? Either approach is to ignore reality in order to create an imaginary history.

The people who fought in that war were patriots. That was a time when the United States was less than 100 years old, and loyalties between Nation and State were not so certain. Most of the soldiers who fought and died for the South owned no slaves. They fought in what they believed to be the defense of their homeland. Few of the soldiers of the North fought for, or would have been willing to fight for, the elimination of slavery. Their cause was the preservation of the Union. The soldiers of both sides were patriots, each in their own way.

Your picture of a postwar South with the single goal of oppressing Black people seems like quite a stretch. I am reminded of my mother's oft-repeated caution; "It is not always about you." How you find it impossible that anyone was motivated to honor their ancestors, or even direct relatives, who died fighting in a war is beyond me. But, it really does not matter. All of the principles are long since dead, and those monuments and buildings are now nothing more than a part of our history. A war against monuments and buildings is pure barbarism, and does nothing to advance the cause of Black people.

I am not blind to the fact that racism remains an issue, and that we have a long way to go before the opportunity for every person is equal. Of course, total equality will never exist. The advantages of being born to wealth and privilege are not going to go away. But, it is a noble goal to create a society where people with talent, ability, and drive have the opportunity to advance to the top (regardless of race; poor white people do not have a manicured trail leading to success either). Destroying old monuments and defacing buildings will not advance that cause so much as an inch.

-- Posted by lazarus on Wed, May 24, 2017, at 10:09 AM
  • Lbur, your hatred of Melania is remarkable and unflattering. I wonder if it is because we now have a FLOTUS that can't pee standing up. I'm sure if she was moving into the White House, you would be complaining about her not being on the current trip with your and my president. Even as great as she is, she can't be in 2 places doing 2 different things at the same time. BTW, hillary STILL isn't your or my prez. But don't worry. You will be able to say Madame President soon enough. A little less than 8 years and Ivanka will make history.

  • You know Laz, I'm kinda troubled by the old adage that if you don't know history you are doomed to repeat it. Seems more and more as time goes on people just forget history and do it all over again. Sad.
