Precious today and as a kitten.
I was watching Precious this morning and thinking how much she still seems like a little (innocent) kitten. I say innocent because she was actually getting in trouble but seemed to have no idea that anything was wrong. Debbi was fussing at two of them for tearing into her laundry basket, clothes scattered everywhere. GREAT fun, except for Deb.
Billy took off for safer grounds but Precious just watched Debbi with a look of complete innocence, as if she was not screaming and ranting at the little mischief makers. She walked through Debbi's legs, rubbing and completely unaware that if Deb was someone else, she might be in danger of punishment.
She's not dumb, just the opposite, but she is almost totally deaf and we are pretty sure she can't see out of one eye so, things are different in her world. The only thing that gets through to her when we are wanting her to stop is a spray of water, and that does not last long before she is back again.
We lost a young cat (Bethany) who was deaf and slipped out the door when some of the others were heading out for a day of fun in the sun, so we are extremely protective of Precious. There is no way she would know a coyote was coming unless she was looking straight at it with her good eye.
But she is such a lover and we can't stay mad long.
