Have you noticed things changing at local convenience centers?

I am kind of a good sense of humor kind of guy. I don't work for the government, they work for me! If they want the garbage separated so they can earn money from my scrapes, they can sort it.

If it will go in a black plastic bag, it goes in a black plastic bag.

If it looks like garbage in a black plastic bag and sounds like garbage in a black plastic bag, then it is garbage in a black plastic bag and is tossed into the dumpsters like garbage in a black plastic bag. Pretty simple huh?

If I have to sort my bottles, paper, cardboard, metal and wood, why shouldn't I take it to the scrape places and get paid. Or do like others, sell it on ebay, lol. It's a convenience Center for Christ sake! Why would you make it an Unconvenient Center? Oh, that's right! It's US Government Usurp.

  • Not sure the Feds are involved in this but good to know your opinion.

I have suggested something to cut down on material going into trash that helps youth but it surprisingly died quickly when I contacted the schools and Chamber.

Would have been nice to know why they ignored it but they did so.....

  • I have definitely noticed changes to what one may conveniently discard at the Center in Wartrace. There have also been changes as to what is driveway picked up and who exactly may place items there. Seems to be some buzz about extra charges......Hope this doesn't lead to piles of discarded bags of trash on the side of the road......That would be a big step backward.....

  • GOOD POINT! The bags of discard is a very real possibility and not just bags.

I am hearing about very upset folk who bring their things (other than metal and furniture) and being turned away or directed to a center many miles away. I would not be surprised to find those products start "appearing" again on roadsides, streams or other secluded areas where they can drop unobserved and run (drive) away.
