Canada here SHE comes......maybe!Posted Saturday, November 5, at 11:58 AM My daughter Katyrina Jesch (age 10) has been accepted to The People to People Student Ambassador program! What an accomplishment, took a lot of hard work on her part and she is ready to make a difference in bringing people together! So June of 2012 she will be boarding the plane for 12 day trip to Canada with about 40 other students to learn, see and experience what some could only still dream of. ...
On to week two.... Wow what a crazy last week with the start of school. All went well with the kids end but man I think I was tested beyond any other test I have been given. We were rezoned for a new school which I might add has been a wonderful thing, the kids love the new school! The pick up and drop off has been great!...
Sharing my favorite websites! So we are all busy during the summer and with kids fighting to get on the computer, it has given me less time each day to enjoy the few simple things, like blogging! I did want to take some time to share with you some great websites that I love! First is http://woot.com this site is an everyday must! It displays 1 item each day, it is an overstocked item that is reduced to almost pennies. ...
10,000 miles! Yep that is right I have now put 10,000 miles on my car and the roll over happened at Midway Diner! So I encourage all of you to stop at Midway for breakfast if you are on the 231 they got great food and service! My car still has loads of power and still running strong, it goes for its first service next monday the 29th! Then I am sure it will be an even happier car ready to go another 10,000+ miles...
Smart Center Nashville I am so happy that they opened a dealership just in time for my first service! Yep thats right a Smart Dealership has opened in Madison, TN. I am looking forward to checking it out, would love to see if they have any of the barbus editions as they are beautiful!...
When the sun sets... Well as I am sure everyone can relate that life does not rest until way after the sun has set! Thank goodness for the beautiful weather we been having and the loads of energy I gain from that! I have been told I suffer from SAD (Seasonal affective disorder) so when the sun is shining I am up and about all day and pretty much all night long! I also run around with my head chopped into pieces but yet still carry on with a smile and feel like I have done something that day!...
My little trooper.... First off I want to make sure I thank the wonderful staff at Heritage Medical Center ER room for taking such wonderful care of my little guy. Also I want to thank all the kids at the park that had a true concern for Nicky as his face plunged into the ramp/scooter...
The Greenway in Murfreesboro..... Wow it was beautiful today. The river was flowing nicely, there was enough water for some people in canoes to enjoy it. I am sure the fish were biting. The sun was bright, the sky was blue and all the trees were green. It was a picture worth a thousand words just with in the 3.5 mile trip along the path I went...
My poor Car.... So this evening as I was picking up my son from a friends house, I came home to find that my front fender of my car had been dented. I have no idea how this happened, only a time period of when it could have. I do not recall hitting anything or anyone being close to my car while I was not around...
Well its great to back on the blogger board with the Times-Gazette. I had to take some family time and enjoy the beauty of Middle Tennessee! Just a quick recap of what I have done over the past year! Wow and what a year it was! My grandmother passed away in June of last year. ...
Time for Snow! I lived in Reno, NV for about 5 years which I would rather not remember for a few reasons! But one thing I miss seeing is the snow falling. I surely do not miss shoveling, chaining tires, being cold all the time and kids out of school for a month with only a days notice...
Just killin' time I come across this website that will take your picture and match it with celebrities. What a shock I really did not think I looked like a male at all! LOL I hope everyone gets a good laugh at it!...
Random Acts of Kindness On another website I visit daily (care2.com) the daily action for today is random acts of kindness. There were a lot of great suggestions on things to do to brighten someones day and many of them I have done over a period of time. I would like for anyone to post things they have done or things others have done for them, purely just out of kindness...
Hazard Lights I have noticed that many people drive with their hazards. Has anyone else noticed this? Are these people warning us that they are a hazardous driver? Are they wanting to make a statement? Are they preparing themselves to make a right/left turn without actually having to signal?...
"American Dream" My entire life that people want to live the "American Dream". I have always wondered what it is? I do consider myself an American and yes I have many dreams but I can not imagine everyone in America having the same dreams as I do. Some of you might laugh that I honestly have no clue what people are talking about when they say "American Dream"...
Message Board I am wanting to start a message board for Mom's with children still at home for those that live in and around Shelbyville. Is there anyone that can help me out with links to free message boards, letting people know about it, ideas on what I should have on the board...
My biggest fear is now a reality. From the time that I had my first child, which now has been 11 years, I worked outside of the home. At that time I also went to school as I always wanted to stay educated and make a better life for my family. At that time I was also a single mom with great help from the most wonderful person, My Dad...
Times-Gazette, how can you not love it? First off I grew up in a big city, which I never read the paper or even thought to waste my money on supporting such negativity. One of the first things I did when I moved to Shelbyville, TN was pick up the paper. Wow that was one of the best things I could have done. I have never seen such a wonderful newspaper, one that prints community events, pictures of kids achieving awards and just the beauty that is all around us here in Bedford County...
Hobbies Hobby-is a spare-time recreational pursuit. I'm thinking that since we all live on a 24 hour a day schedule that we might want to reconsider changing our hours/days once in a while so we can have "spare-time". But until we can make that happen I'm sure we all still have hobbies and I am just interested to know what hobbies people have...
Freecycle.org I am sure most of you have heard of it already but for those of you who haven't. Freecycle is a free email group for your city/county where you can post items that you wish to GIVE away. It is an awesome program/organization and it has made life just a little bit easier for many people. ...
