Space & Science Center

Posted Saturday, August 18, 2007, at 9:58 AM

I recently took my two youngest kids to the Huntville, AL U. S. Space and Science Center.

Wow what a wonderful time we had. The have some really awesome exhibits of the different space suits that astronauts wore over the years/mission trips. I would love to tell you everything they have there but there is so much also I would want everyone to experience it for themselves.

The entire museum is geared for kids of all ages with some displays just full of information and some that we can all climb on or into. There are stimulation rides, rock wall, and many rockets on display.

I do have to say my favorite part of the entire place is the wall that honors female astronauts. They have done a beautiful job displaying their pictures info about their schooling and how many hours they have logged in space.

I would really encourage everyone to take a trip and check out a piece of US History that is forever changing. If you cant make the trip to Alabama I encourage you to take a look at their website.
