Hazard LightsPosted Friday, November 9, 2007, at 1:39 PM
I have noticed that many people drive with their hazards.
Has anyone else noticed this? Are these people warning us that they are a hazardous driver? Are they wanting to make a statement? Are they preparing themselves to make a right/left turn without actually having to signal? This was not a one day or one time event, it seems to be on a regular basis here in this town, mostly when driving out of Shelbyville via any highway. If you have noticed people using their hazards when there apparently is no reason, then post it! If you are one of the people that feel comfortable with driving with their hazards on would you please explain why you would choose to do that. Just a random thing that makes me wonder WHY! Volunteer Fire Services First Responders use their hazard lights when responding to a call when in their own automobile. Maybe you have seen a lot of those people.
I sometimes see vehicles with the hazard lights on and they are apparently unaware the lights are on. Some paper carriers do this, apparently to warn other drivers of frequent stops.
