When the sun sets...

Well as I am sure everyone can relate that life does not rest until way after the sun has set! Thank goodness for the beautiful weather we been having and the loads of energy I gain from that! I have been told I suffer from SAD (Seasonal affective disorder) so when the sun is shining I am up and about all day and pretty much all night long! I also run around with my head chopped into pieces but yet still carry on with a smile and feel like I have done something that day!
Well with that being said the last week or so called week of school was full of activities for us and for some reason this year it just popped up too quickly! All the kids did wonderful in school! Congrats to them! We found out that we are now zoned for Cascade, which means changing schools. I am always up for a change and hope the kids take it well also! But the question is still how do I get my Middle schoolers transfered there, as it will be difficult to get them at different ends of town at the same time! But I am sure someone has the answer to that question! My in-laws have made it to town! There almost 3 month journey moving from California to Tennessee has ended this past Wednesday. We are very glad to have them here and hope to make some wonderful memories as they get to enjoy some time with their grandchildren! So I welcome them with open arms! Then was a trip to Beech Bend Amusement/Water park. All I can say for now is WOW! WOW! WOW! It was well worth the trip and once I get a few other things squared away I post another blog just about that! It deserves its own attention! Well to wrap up a first week of summer break it has been wonderful bright and sunny full of surprises and not a day with out smiles! I hope to share with you all again on the adventures that we journey on to while hearing about some of yours! I wish all the best summer and may the sun shine on everything you do! It is good to hear that Beech Bend is still doing well. Some parks get a tired feel after so many years. They must be good merchandisers.
Up all day and night too? I think I have SAD in the winter but I don't have the reverse in Summer, just better than Winter.
I have been bringing your father's peppermint to the last few meetings. I know where you have been, but he can visit too!
3 month journey from California? Were they re-enacting the Conestoga wagon trains?
If you're interested stevemills, here was our itinerary. Sister's place in San Diego 3 weeks, Julian CA 5 days, Colorado River AZ 9 days, Mesa AZ 4 days, St. David AZ (see Tombstone) 6 days, Deming NM 5 days, El Paso TX 1 day, Carlsbad NM 5 days, Andrews TX 1 day, Abiliene TX 1 day, Lake Whitney TX 5 days, Quitman TX 5 days, Hope AR 3 days, Benton AR 1 day, Higden AR 6 Days, Jackson TN 1 day, Henry Horton State Park TN 5 days.
Not exactly sure about the time we spent in each place. We did this in two vehicles; grandma driving the car and me pulling our 1994 25 foot 5th wheel with my 92 Chevy truck with a V6 and 240,000 miles on it. Great Truck! It felt like a Conestoga sometimes. It was a wonderful trip. When the dust settles we'll get a bigger dragger and do it some more.
