The Bill of Rights - Amendment IV

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

This one has taken a beating over the years with law enforcement and the advent of the internet. We must not forget that the government has no right to search you, your house, your car, your office, or whatever without reasonable cause and (most importantly) a warrant that specifically states the place to be searched and the items they are looking for.

Unfortunately the Patriot Act pretty much invalidated the Constitution...

Yep, I am curious, is Ron Paul the only candidate that has even mentioned publicly about getting rid of that? I do not recall hearing any of the others even talking about it.

Well, the Patriot Act isn't a Constitutional Amendment, so it's not actually written in stone. Actually, seeing as how it was passed just after September 11th, 2001, you have to wonder about that timing. Supposedly this Act was to protect the citizens of the United States, but this act infringes on a number of the citizens' rights. Once the "Bill of Rights" series is done, I may go over the Patriot Act. The more people learn about that particular document, the better. Maybe some of our legislators should have actually read it before voting on it. I've never read it all, but the more I have read in it, the more scared I am about the future of this great Nation.

Ron Paul is the only candidate who talks about many issues... That's why FOX News left him out of the debate, because he doesn't need handy script writers or an earpiece to tell him what to say.

He is the ONLY candidate who is honestly [and validified thru his voting record] and completely a Constitutionalists. I am the furthest thing from a Republican, and Ron Paul has my support, because for some reason I like truth, and I like people who actually know how to fix the problems... Instead of being an ostrich and burying his head in the sand, he extends his neck and provides real solutions to real problems, long before they are even detramental.

Obviously the Denver Colorado Sheriff's department never bothered to read this one.
