Two hundred and twenty-two years ago today a band of thirty-nine men that were fed up with their overbearing government and had taken charge of themselves attached their signatures to the document that, to this day, is the foundation of our government. Today is Constitution Day, please take a moment to consider that the rights that we enjoy, are due to this document.

Men and women have taken an oath to "support and defend" this document against "ALL enemies, foreign and domestic". Men and women have paid the ultimate sacrifice keeping that oath. Think about that, people believed in this document so much that the oath of office for every elected official and armed service member in this country contains those same words.

I'm sorry I didn't make it over to Motlow this year to cover their annual Constitution Day event. They have several history professors do a panel discussion, and they usually have both ends of the political spectrum represented, but in a very cordial, collegial way.

And now Obama classifies it as a useless and outdated document. You can bet your bottom dollar (if you still have one) that he will not support and defend it. So sad that it no longer serves to inspire. Guess we will start living by Saul Alinsky's rules now. Thom, thanks for reminding people of what are nation was created around. And God bless us everyone. We sure need it.

I agree cherokee2, we are heading down a long road and if they keep picking away at our Constitution the way they are doing, then "We the People" is no longer, it is "We the Overpowering Parties". Our Constitution is "ours". It was made from our forefathers for "us", not the government to over take us. We matter no longer to these people, all they care about is the power that they have and our Constitution means nothing to them anymore. I hate knowing that my grandson has to grow up in what he does, he deserves more and we are letting them take it away from our children and grandchildren and so on down the line. I want my grandson to know that I spoke up, that I tried to give him back what is his. I may not be able to do it alone, but it can be done. We can all take back our Constitution and what is rightfully ours!!

Who would have ever believed that we would one day actually hear the President of our great nation state that it's constitution was nothing more than an outdated piece of paper?

You liberals wanted "change", well...you got it!

... Men and women have taken an oath to "support and defend" this document against "ALL enemies, foreign and domestic"....

I never thought I'd see the day when I would declare my country to be a "domestic" enemy against our constitution. I think we all should take that very oath to "support AND defend" it.

***** WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE *****

We have a voice, and we have the opportunity to vote. So let's get started ...

See you at the polls!

By the way, did you notice that it was 39 men who were fed up with an overbearing government ... and made a HUGE difference?

* Happy Constitution Day *

One Nation Under God - The Other Nation Under Fraud

"we have in our political system [two governments] a Government of the United States and a government of each of the several [50] states. Each is distinct from the others and each has citizens of its own...

- " U.S. V. Cruikshank, 92,U.S. 542, 23 L. Ed 588

"In exercising its constitutional power to make all needful regulations respecting territory belonging to the United States, Congress [under Art. I, §8, Cl. 17 and Art IV, §3, Cl. 2 of the Constitution] is not subject to the same constitutional limitations as when it is legislating for the United States [the 50 states]." - Hooven v. Evatt, 324 U.S. 674

Constitutional restrictions and limitations were NOT applicable to the areas of lands, enclaves, territories and possessions over which Congress had Exclusive Legislative Authority," - Downes v. Bidwell, 182 U.S. 244

A WARNING by Judge Harlan:

"The idea prevails with some, indeed it has found expression in arguments at the bar, that we have in this country substantially (two national governments); one to be maintained under the Constitution, with all of its restrictions; the other to be maintained by Congress outside and independently of that instrument, by exercising such powers [of absolutism] as other nations of the earth are accustomed to... I take leave to say that, if the principles thus announced should ever receive the sanction of a majority of this court,

"a radical and mischievous change in our system of government will result".

We will, in that event, pass into an era of legislative absolutism... IT WILL BE AN EVIL DAY FOR AMERICAN LIBERTY IF THE THEORY OF A GOVERNMENT OUTSIDE THE SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND FINDS LODGMENT IN OUR CONSTITUTIONAL JURISPRUDENCE. No higher duty rests upon this court than to exert its full authority to prevent all violation of the principles of the Constitution."

- Downes vs Bidwell, 182 U.S. 244

Judge Harlan's extremely prudent advice was ignored and his prediction became true.

Because of this ruling, Congress has been able to circumvent the Constitution for the United States of America, as follows:

1) The United States Government legally creates legislation, which may be unconstitutional for the 50 states, under the authority and guise of legislating for the citizen and residents of the territories and possessions "belonging to" the Untied States.

2) Such federal legislation is made applicable only to the citizens born and residing in Territories, possessions, instrumentalities and enclaves under the exclusive jurisdiction of the United States, These "individuals" are called "U.S. citizens" or "citizens of the United States, subject to its jurisdiction" in such legislation. The average American, of course, believes he or she is such a citizen (because it was never disclosed to them that our Congress legislates for two different types of citizens). Because Americans have respect for the law, he or she voluntarily consents to obey this legislation that is contrary to the Constitution.
