Getting Ready for Transport

About 36 good adoptable dogs will be transported up North Sunday morning so that they can find their forever homes. This is an effort that has been going on for over 3 years and has resulted in the reduction of needless euthanasia of good animals. The health examinations were done tonight and the animals are ready for the 10 hour trip. Here's a photo of an adorable pup getting his exam. He will be one of the ones to have a happy ending with a new home. Also pictured are Taylor Durard, volunteer and Megan Betzelberger, DVM.

This is really a great program. Just curious why certain areas do not have the same overpopulation that we do?

Rescue Waggin is a great help to Bedford County. Seems education and the way of thinking is much different in northern populations. The south has a bad rep. when it comes to the way many here treat animals. I hope we see a day in the future when the way of thinking here changes and the education to spay and neuter is out there and being taught and practiced.Thank Goodness for Petsmart Charities for taking so many of our unwanted animals!
