Friends Chris Heard, John Schetrompf and Tim Tucker got out their jetskis on a nice Sunday morning Jan. 27 and rode from Halls Mill to the Shelbyville Dam and back. In total, they traveled 44 miles. Heard said the group does this several times of year, but only when there's the right combination of the river being up and no so much debris as to clog the jet pumps. Musgrave Pencil Company recently honored, and celebrated, the commitment of long time employees Faye and Buddy Barrett at a retirement lunch, at the pencil company. Combined, the Barretts have more than 75 years with Musgrave, leaving a legacy of personal investment, growth, and engagement with their work family. "Musgrave wishes the Barretts a personal thank you and a heartfelt hope for a joyful retirement," said Lynn Hulan. Shelbyville Central Student Council ninth graders spent Saturday afternoon at Todd Jennings' farm. This week being homecoming at Central, each grade was challenged with putting together a music video. Each grade was given a different genre, with the freshmen being assigned the country genre.
