Each year, Tennessee School Boards Association honors a volunteer from each of its nine districts who has demonstrated commitment to volunteerism in a local school district. The 2012 South Central School Volunteer Award winner is Nancy Thompson, who's been a faithful volunteer at East Side Elementary for four years. Nancy is lovingly known as the "Box tops Lady." She collects all of the box tops to send into the company. In return, East Side Elementary School receives approximately $1,400 per year in box top contributions. (Submitted photo)
