Cascade's marching band and color guard took many top honors at the Saturday, Oct. 13 competition at Forrest High School. Among them were -- Marching Band: Division I Champion, Best in Class, Middle TN Small Band Champion; Field Commander: 1st place, Best of the Best; Percussion: 2nd place; Guard: 1st place visual ensemble, Best of the Best. On Friday, Oct. 12, East Side students got a special treat. Assistant Annett Woods' grandson, Blake Adams, volunteered his time to come and make cotton candy as a reward for students with good behavior. All day long, students got to enjoy the sweet smell of cotton candy in the hallways.(Submitted photo)
