Shelbyville Lions Club had Amy Nix of Junior's House as a guest speaker Thursday night. Pictured are: Bill Dearing (club president), Amy Nix of Junior's House and Donetta Hurt, program chair. Nix said Junior's House is a safe place for child abuse victims, where they can feel comfortable and talk to all the authority figures involved at one time without having to go through several interviews over a period of weeks. They cover four counties, Bedford, Lincoln, Moore and Marshall. Junior's House has offices in Shelbyville and Lewisburg and are ran by donations, grants, and fundraisers they have. No fees are ever charged for counseling needed by children.
