Students from Casey Burrahm's 6th grade homeroom at Community Middle School packed shoeboxes this past week for Operation Christmas Child, and a shoebox shoe box drop off will be until Sunday at New Beginnings Baptist Church at 2027 Madison St. Drop off time will be Saturday 1-3 p.m., and Sunday noon-2 p.m. From left are, back row: Haley Bobo, Anna Katherine Lemmons, Devin Bousum, and Stone Frost. Billy and Carolyn Cook celebrated their 50th anniversary with a dinner, attended by 150 guests, at Shiloh Methodist Church given by their children and spouses, Billy Ray and Stephanie Cook, Laura and Darrick Fisher and Sally and Brian Redd. They also have five grandchildren. The Cooks' children also gave them an anniversary trip to the Chattanooga Choo-Choo. (Submitted photo)
