"Having an opportunity to hear children express their feelings if Christmas through song is special," said program chairman Joan Gray as she introduced the Eakin Elementary Chorus Wednesday as the month's special Christmas program at Shelbyville Woman's Club. The day's theme was "A Holiday Concert."

Farm Credit Mid-America held a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony on Dec. 2 for its newly-renovated offices at 1908 Madison St. They can be reached at 931-684-3291. The member-owned cooperative offers farm loans, rural home loans and crop insurance.
