Motlow College theater students and their teacher, Jeannie Brown, have fun with the thousands of pull tabs they and others in the class collected this semester for the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville. Students are, from left, Danace Davis of Shelbyville, Adam Schmidt of Manchester, and Billy Hoskins of Hillsboro. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville raises thousands of dollars each year through the pull tab program "to support the families of seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment at Nashville area hospitals," according to the organization's website.

Teresa Winnette of the Child Development Center accepts a check from Shannon Boyette, secretary of Shelbyville Civitan Club, to help buy presents for Christmas. Each year the club donates money to the center to help buy Christmas presents for special needs children.
