Clayton and Littie Ann Curtis celebrated 50 years of marriage on Dec. 15, 2012. Their children and grandchildren gave them a tea party earlier on Nov. 17, 2012. They celebrated their day with visits from more than 100 friends and family. They have lived in the Bedford County area all of their lives.
Jamie Ovick Jones, whom many readers will remember for her friendly face when entering the T-G's front office, gave birth to her second child, Carter Davis Jones, earlier this month.
After a great delivery, Jamie returned to her home in Murfreesboro for a dose of real life. Jamie resigned from her post in the T-G's circulation department after giving birth to her first child, Bailey, who, as evident in this photo, isn't quite yet sure about the new addition to the family.
The Walking For Angels Horse Show officials announced their one-night show, held late last year, raised over $16,000 from their one night horse show to benefit Angel Tree adoptions in Shelbyville. More than 175 Children were angels in Bedford County who benefited from the proceeds including many who were members of the Boys & Girls Club of Bedford County. Joining the Boys & Girls Club members are Susan Coleman, Freda and Wayne Dean, Mickey McCormick, Marcia Allison, Allan Callaway, Tim Smith, Charlie and Candy Green and show chairman Julie Lambert.
