February 2, 2013
Two short-lived snowfalls left a white coating across Bedford County on the mornings of Friday, Feb. 1 and Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. The relatively-rare Southern snows left snowy sights and brought out many fun-seekers.

Some parts of Bedford County received a measureable amount of snow Friday, but not enough to build this snowman. It still has a slight covering of the white stuff on a portion of its head and body. This large creature is made from hay and wood and can be seen on U.S. 41A North.

If you know where you are going then this sign half covered with snow on U.S. 41A would not cause a problem. But if you're lost, then go right to Shebyville or left to Eagleville.
