T-G Photos by Terence Corrigan

When I want to go for a ride I look for the roads with no painted centerline. The narrow roads. Preferably the roads that you have to slow down on, maybe even pull off onto the grass when you meet a farm truck. I named this one the Gaither Road/Old Flat Creek Loop. I started on the east end where it meets Highway 130. After turning on Gaither Road go 3.1 miles to Hilltop Road. Go right on Hilltop and drive one-half mile to Old Flat Creek Road. On Old Flat Creek Road go 1.3 miles to Highway 82. Turn left on the highway and go 8/10ths of a mile to Lake Elaine Road on your left. Follow Lake Elaine Road 2.7 miles back to Hilltop Road where you take a left to get back to Old Flat Creek Road. On all these roads (with the exceptions of highways 130 and 82) I idle along around 20 mph and stop often to admire the scenery and take a few photos. Itís a great way to get out of the house and enjoy a COVID-free activity.
