Sixth-graders in Amanda Thompson's world history class at Cascade Middle School recently learned about the medieval period. Highlights included: the spreading of Christianity; Feudalism; the life of a knight; the Crusades; the Magna Carta and the Parliament of England; The Hundred Years' War and the plague. The class concluded with a medieval festival and enjoyed food eaten during that time period, including cold meats, lots of fruits and vegetables, and breads. Several students dressed for the occasion. There was live entertainment as well. Adrianna Sanchez, Amanda Thompson, Luke Murillo and Xion Dixon pose in their medieval costumes.
