Mike Inman, president and CEO of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, spoke about the status of the Tennessee Walking Horse industry during a meeting of Shelbyville Lions Club, one of two civic clubs involved in founding the Celebration in the late 1930s. Inman told the Lions that the industry seems to be on an upswing; the recent Trainers Show had its largest number of entries in 12 years, and a recent show in Jackson, Miss., saw a 25 percent increase over the previous year. The Spring Fun Show will be held May 23-25, and the 75th annual Celebration will be held this year. (Submitted photo)
