Josh Rollins had the Champion Bred-by-Exhibitor Angus heifer at the Tennessee Junior Livestock Expo. Rollins also had another class winner. He was named champion showman in the senior division. With Josh is Mike Swafford, FFA advisor at Cascade High School.
The 4-H Life Skills Skillathon team competed at the Tennessee State Fair this year, placing second. Members pictured from left are: Jessica Woodard, Sam Woodard, Patience Farrington and Timothy Martin. Individually, Timothy placed fourth and Jessica placed sixth. The team is open to students in seventh through ninth grade, and this year they were tested on counting back change, food safety, environmental awareness, and appropriate toys for children.
Ashleigh Nash was a showmanship winner in the senior division at the Tennessee Junior Livestock Expo with her Hereford heifer.
Brothers Jacob and Joshua Wade had a great day at the Tennessee Junior Livestock Expo. Jacob (left) showed a class winner and the champion Charolais heifer at the state event. Joshua also showed a class winner. Standing behind the boys are proud parents Matt and Krista Wade, and extension agent John Teague.
