The SCHS National Honor Society recently donated a music sound system and a megaphone to the Boys & Girls Club of Bedford County. The NHS Service Learning Leadership classes at SCHS collect caps from Coca-Cola products brought in by SCHS NHS students. They put the codes found in those caps in on the website www.mycokerewards.com. This website allows participants to choose from a catalog to purchase items using the points collected for that organization's account. Representing NHS are Alex Lempin, David Jacobs, and Abigail Marbibi.

A future kindergarten student at Learning Way Elementary met recently with Juan Chirigliano, county translator, and Kristy Grifinn, kindergarten teacher to register for school in the fall. If parents missed the opportunity to register, they are encouraged to contact their local elementary school to enroll their student before the end of the school year. On July 23, each school in the county will be open for enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year. For questions, contact the Central Office at (931) 684-3284.
