Bedford County Fire Chief Mark Thomas disconnects the battery of a car in which two Central High students were injured on Horse Mountain Road just north of 437 Bypass late Thursday morning. The glass window from the car's hatchback lies nearby. Driver Derek Blaine Williams, 17, of Ledbetter Road lost control of the car, which overturned before landing on its wheels in a field, Lt.
