Ann Spencer, the vice president of the Farm Bureau ladies, welcomes Lou Nave from Cannon County. She spoke to the Farm Bureau ladies at its their annual board meeting about the Farm Animal Care Coalition of Tennessee. This non-profit organization's mission is to be a factual and proactive voice for animal agriculture in Tennessee. FACCT is a reliable source for the public and farmers regarding human care, well-being issues and best management practices for farm animals.

Shown are some of the Vietnam Era Veterans who met on Thursday, June 7 at the American Legion Post #23 who were "Mugged." Established in June 2010, the group celebrated their second year. All Vietnam and Vietnam era veterans were given commemorative mugs. These veterans were from Fayetteville, Lynchburg, Tullahoma, Winchester and Shelbyville. Vietnam veterans are veterans who served in Vietnam, from February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975, and veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces -- not in Vietnam -- from August 4, 1964 to May 7, 1975.
