The Shelby Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution held a grave marking ceremony at the Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg for Marilyn Parker (April 6, 1926-April 18, 2012). Parker joined DAR on October 12, 1964. She held several official positions in the chapter, and was a truly loved member. Morgan Cunningham (left) and Rebecca Marchese (right) were the recipients of this year's Lindsey and Eleanor Hall Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each. Lindsey and Eleanor served on the Farm Bureau's board of directors for many years, and the scholarship was their way of helping young people further their education.
