Four newly-trained divers have been added to Bedford County Technical Team. From left are Tory Moore, Shelbyville Police; Leo Wilcox, Bedford County Fire; Kenneth Holley, Shelbyville Fire; Trey Clanton, Shelbyville Police; and Shannon McKnight, Rutherford County Dive Team. These divers went through 32 hours of classroom instruction and pool dives at MTSU and then completed five dives in a rock quarry. The training was funded by a homeland security grant. The Bedford County Technical Team is a partnership between Bedford County Emergency Medical Services (the local ambulance service) and Bedford County Emergency Management Agency (once known as Civil Defense) with team members from all city and county public safety departments.
