A large number of friends were on hand to congratulate Helen and Bob Garner as they were honored with the Good Citizen Award by the Shelbyville-Bedford County Chamber of Commerce. The award is in recognition of their dedication to "the beautification and welfare of our community ..." The Garners have long been active supporters of the annual Duck River Cleanup, the garden tour and the crape myrtle sales.
