A step back in time

Third grade classes from Community Elementary School recently attended the annual "Step Back in Time" festival at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill. See the story at http://www.t-g.com/story/2012448.html
Third graders got a chance to see and touch some of the artifacts displayed by a Native American speaker. He had animal skins, items used for trading and examples of weapons that Native Americans used.

Kristie Collier's third grade class was among those from Community Elementary School who attended the recent "Step Back in Time" event at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill.
Various vendors were set up at "Step Back in Time," including artists and craftsmen. Students got a chance to try their hand at the pottery wheel.
