Community Band celebrates

The Community High School Band celebrated a great year by presenting several awards to participants as well as taking a band trip together to New York City.
Some recipients of the Middle Tennessee Band and Orchestra Achievements accept their awards.
Tony Compton presents the Tony Compton Leadership Award to Jacob Houston.
Highlights from the New York trip included the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Philharmonic Symphony performance of "Carmina burana," the Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial, Majestic Theatre's performance of "Phantom of the Opera," Lincoln Center and Rockerfeller Center.
Director Stephen Givens presents the John Phillip Sousa Award to Victoria Hargrove and Marcus Madrid.
