'Don't Drink The Water'

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

The Fly Arts Center will present the farce "Don't Drink The Water," by Woody Allen, Friday through Sunday, and again Sept. 25-26. Show times are 7 p.m. for Friday and Saturday performances, 2 p.m. for the Sunday matinee. The story is set in the 1960s. The Hollander family from New Jersey -- loud-mouthed caterer Walter, his wife Marion and their free-spirit daughter, Susan -- are passing through an unnamed Communist country while on a tour of Europe. Walter accidentally takes photos of a military installation, and is pursued by a member of the local police force to the U.S. Embassy, where the family seeks refuge.
