First Community Mortgage presents shoe funds

FCM Cares, an internal employee contribution foundation with First Community Mortgage, held a bowling tournament, “Bowling for Shoes” earlier this year. Proceeds were used recently to purchase back-to-school shoes for local students in need.
With contributions still remaining, FCM Cares decided to help local junior high athletic programs out by donating $1,000 to each of the local junior high athletic departments.
A fall reception was held recently at FCM with several residents and business persons in attendance.
Scott Cocanougher and Daniel Watson accepted FCM Cares' recent donation to Harris Middle for $1,000 on behalf of students and staff.
Liberty School principal Amy McCullough and athletic director Heath Fanning said they were very honored to have received the FCM Cares donation for their school. The $1,000 will be very beneficial, they said, for this yearâ€™s programming.
Cascade Middle School principal David Parker and James Abbott accepted their $1,000 check award recently from First Community Mortgage to use for the school's athletic department.
Accepting their $1,000 check from First Community Mortgage recently from Community Middle School were Tony Garrette, principal, and Josh Burrahm, athletic director. Carlene Smith, Sterling Smith and Lexi Ervin, FCM loan originators, made the presentation.
